Design Manual Division 11 Practical Design (PDF 107KB)
This LMS course describes the practical design process as documented in Division 11 of the WSDOT Design Manual. It includes seven modules that provide an introduction to practical design, need and context identification, design control selection, alternatives analysis, design element selection, and design element dimensions.

Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP)

This is an online resource for LTAP sponsored online training that can be accessed from personal or work computers. All WSDOT produced training, to include construction and design courses, is available at no charge.

National Highway Institute (NHI)

This website provides numerous free online web based courses on all transportation engineering subject areas.

Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center

This website provides online resources and webinars that promote active transportation by synthesizing and promoting active transportation information and research.

Practical Solutions Overview (PDF 107KB)

This LMS course provides an overview of WSDOT's Practical Solutions approach to Project Development. It includes material about identifying needs, assessing alternative strategies to addressing performance gaps, and applying a practical set of solutions. The training highlights the importance for community engagement throughout the project development process.

This community of practice provides webinars that promote transportation practices that advance sustainability and equitable economic development, while maintaining high standards of governmental efficiency and transparency.

TC3

TC3 is a technical service program within AASHTO that focuses on developing training products for technical staff in the areas of construction, maintenance, and materials. TC3 has a library of more than 190 online training modules covering a variety of topics and it is free to all WSDOT employees.
