The I-405/SR 167 Executive Advisory Group has been advising WSDOT on the I-405 Corridor improvements since 1999. EAG members include state and local elected officials, and representatives from federal and regional transit agencies.
In 2010, EAG members signed an interest statement supporting the implementation of express toll lanes on I-405, which would connect with the express toll lanes on SR 167.

On June 18, 2015, former WSDOT Secretary Lynn Peterson met with the I-405/SR 167 Executive Advisory Group at Bellevue City Hall to discuss progress on the master plan and preparation for toll commencement on I-405.
In January 2013, WSDOT re-engaged the EAG to gain guidance and reach consensus on a number of critical policy and financing matters related to the I-405 Express Toll Lanes project.
WSDOT held four EAG working meetings in 2013, as described below. The group's input informed a funding and phasing report, which WSDOT delivered to the Legislature and governor in January 2014.
