SEATTLE – There’s no shortage of work when it comes to keeping the state’s transportation system moving. To preserve pavement, improve connections or restore critical habitat by removing undersized culverts, the Washington State Department of Transportation needs help from construction companies and engineering design firms to deliver projects that make a difference in the community.

To highlight upcoming opportunities for work in King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom and Island counties, WSDOT is hosting an open house for industry partners on Tuesday, Oct. 22.

“WSDOT has an excellent reputation as an owner of choice because we provide the support our contractors need,” said Assistant Regional Administrator Messay Shiferaw. “We incorporate their ideas to successfully complete millions of dollars’ worth of projects.”

In addition to meeting with WSDOT engineering and project delivery staff, contractors and consultants can network with each other and potentially develop partnerships that will build the state’s future highway projects.
