How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
The chip sealing process increases traction and skid resistance. It fills cracks and raveled surfaces, providing a smoother, safer ride. It also provides an anti-glare surface when wet and increases reflectivity at night.  Fresh striping and new signage also improves safety.
Dollar Sign Glyph Economic Incentive
This project extends pavement life on 141 miles of state highway by providing a waterproof layer protecting the underlying pavement structure.

Partnerships & Cooperation
A project to construct new channelization at the junction of Thacker Road and SR 26, near Othello was included in the chip seal contract to reduce costs and deliver it a year early.
