SEATTLE – Now is the time to tell us what you think about the environmental analysis of the proposed SR 99 bored tunnel. FHWA, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the City of Seattle are hosting three public hearings on Nov. 16, 17 and 18 for the recently released Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement. The report analyzes the bored tunnel alternative for replacing the vulnerable Alaskan Way Viaduct and describes its potential effects on transportation, nearby neighborhoods and the environment.

At each hearing attendees can learn more about the project, ask questions of staff and provide written comments or speak directly with a court reporter.
