County, state and federal aviation organizations will meet on Thursday, October 7 at the State Emergency Operations Center at Camp Murray to review emergency plans for the upcoming winter storm season.

Co-organized by WSDOT Aviation and the U.S. Coast Guard the meeting is intended to bring government and aviation emergency response programs together to enhance coordination and the deployment of resources during disasters. Over the past few years these organizations were called upon during severe Western Washington storms to conduct rescues and medical transport.

In attendance will be representatives from WSDOT Aviation, the U.S. Coast Guard, Navy, Federal Aviation Administration, Washington Army National Guard, State of Oregon, U.S. Air Force, Washington State Patrol, FEMA, local media pilots, Airlift Northwest, and King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
