10 a.m. today, WSDOT updates media on plans to reopen I-5

CHEHALIS – WSDOT is hosting a press conference at 10 a.m. today to give media an update on plans to reopen the 20-mile stretch of Interstate 5 in Thurston and Lewis counties that’s been closed since Wednesday night.

WSDOT statewide Maintenance Engineer Chris Christopher and WSDOT Southwest Region Administrator Don Wagner will update the media on plans to reopen I-5 later today.

When: 10 a.m. today, Jan. 9, 2009

What: An update on the I-5 flooding-related closure (milepost 68 to 88).

Where:

  • Media coming from south of the closure meet at milepost 68 in the northbound lanes.

  • Media coming from the north of the closure meet at milepost 88.
