VANCOUVER – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) has reopened SR 14 to passenger vehicle traffic from Washougal to the Bridge of the Gods (milepost 18 to milepost 42). Chains are required on vehicles without all wheel drive from Washougal to the town of Skamania (milepost 18 to milepost 31). Traction tires are advised on vehicles from Skamania to Cliffs Road, seven miles east of the Biggs Bridge (milepost 31 to milepost 108).
Currently, SR 14 is closed to trucks from Washougal to Dallesport Road (milepost 82.25). The highway is open to trucks from The Dalles Bridge (milepost 83.5) eastward. Chains are required on trucks over 10,000 GVW.
SR 14 closed to all traffic Sunday evening due to extreme winter weather: heavy snow, blowing snow and zero visibility.
