The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) invites you to learn about the Aviation Planning Council’s progress, as part of the Long-Term Air Transportation (LATS), at an upcoming public meeting.
When: Tuesday, October 14 / 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Courtyard by Marriott Richland
480 Columbia Pt. Drive / Richland, WA
River Pointe West Room
At the public meeting you will gain an understanding of the Aviation Planning Council’s purpose as part of LATS, as well as the process it is undertaking to deliver statewide aviation capacity recommendations to the Governor by July 2009.
Coffee and refreshments will be provided.
LATS is currently in its third and final phase, where the ten-member, Governor-appointed Aviation Planning Council is using LATS Phases I and II findings, as well as public input, to determine:
- How best to meet commercial and general aviation capacity needs.
- Which regions of the state are in need of improvement regarding the matching of existing, or projected, airport facilities and the long-range capacity needs at airports within the region expected to reach capacity before 2030.
- Recommendations regarding the placement of future commercial or general aviation facilities to meet the need for improved aviation planning in the region.
More information about LATS is available at: www.wsdot.wa.gov/aviation/LATS.
Please RSVP to Nisha Marvel at marveln@wsdot.wa.gov if you plan to attend. An RSVPs are helpful, but not required to attend.
