EVERETT – Drivers can expect delays on southbound Interstate 5 through south Everett tonight as crews work to finish Sound Transit’s South Everett Freeway Station.
The closure is:
- Tuesday, Sept. 23 - Crews will close the two right lanes of southbound I-5 at 112th Street SE from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Wednesday to install new lighting. The first lane closes at 7 p.m. The second lane closes at 8 p.m. All lanes will open by 5 a.m.
The park and ride lot officially opened this past weekend. New ramps allow buses, carpools and vanpools to go directly to and from the I-5 HOV lanes to a new 400-stall park and ride lot in the I-5 median at 112th Street SE. A new access road from 112th Street SE allows single-occupant vehicles to reach the park and ride lot. For more information, visit www.wsdot.wa.gov/Projects/i5/SouthEverett
