LACEY – Drivers on northbound I-5 should expect delays Sunday morning near the Nisqually Bridge where crews will remove a large tree next to the freeway.

WSDOT workers are removing the 175-foot-tall, 4-foot-wide tree before it can fall on its own and potentially block traffic or injure someone.

Between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., crews will conduct rolling slow-downs to keep motorists safely away from the tree-removal operation.
