Surrey, B.C. - The Canada Border Services Agency announced the northbound NEXUS lane at the I-5, Peace Arch border crossing will be open from 7 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, allowing more time for NEXUS users to cross the border.

Hours of operation for the NEXUS lanes:

Northbound (into Canada)

  • I-5, Peace Arch (Douglas) - 7 a.m. to midnight
  • SR 543, Pacific Highway - 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Southbound (into the United States)

  • Hwy 99 - Peace Arch (Douglas) - 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Hwy 15 - Pacific Highway - 12 noon to 6 p.m.

The NEXUS program expedites the border clearance process for pre-approved, low-risk travellers by allowing members to use designated lanes at the border.

Canada and the United States harmonized all three NEXUS programs (Air, Land and Marine) into one in December 2006 to further improve NEXUS service, while maintaining safety and security. For more information, visit the NEXUS Web site at www.nexus.gc.ca.
