CHEHALIS – Motorists should expect a lane closure on I-5 northbound in Chehalis, between 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, Dec 12 and 4 a.m. Thursday morning, Dec 13. The lane closure on I-5 will take place between mile post 79 and mile post 80, in the vicinity of Chamber Way.

This lane closure is necessary while WSDOT crews begin the arduous task of cleaning up all of the loosened debris resulting from last week’s flooding. Barrels, tree limbs, bales of hay, and multitude of unidentifiable objects, as well as muddy debris needs to be removed from the drainage ditch along I-5 in this area. In addition, this closure is required for the safety of the work crews and motorists traveling through the area.

Advanced warning signs will be posted during the lane closures. Motorists are asked to please pay attention to the warning signs.
