KIRKLAND – Next week crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation plan to pave and stripe the roadway and ramps between NE 85th and NE 124th Streets; and rebuild the sidewalk on the north side of NE 116th St. under the I-405 bridge. Construction closures affecting I-405 traffic in Kirkland the week of Sept. 28-Oct.5 include:
I-405 Mainline
- Sunday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 6, crews will close up to three lanes in each direction during the night and early morning hours between NE 85th and NE 116th Streets while crews finish striping the roadway and install signs. I-405 Ramps
Kirkland streets affected by I-405 construction
- Monday, Oct. 1 through Thursday, Oct. 4, crews will close up to two lanes on NE 116th Street where it passes under I-405 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. to construct sidewalks and wheelchair ramps. At least one lane will remain open to traffic.
