VANCOUVER – Motorists should expect alternating single and double lane closures on I-5 northbound in Vancouver, between 9 p.m. on Thursday evening, Sep. 20 and 6 a.m. Friday morning, Sep. 21. The lane closures on I-5 will take place between 179th Street (milepost 9) and La Center on-ramp (milepost 17).
These lane closures are necessary while the contractor striping crews improve the striping in this area. In addition, these closures are required for the safety of the work crews and motorists traveling through the area.
Advanced warning signs will be posted during the lane closures. Motorists are asked to please pay attention to the warning signs. Motorists are also reminded that all traffic fines are doubled within a construction work zone when workers are present (RCW 46.61.527).
For weekly updates on this and all other traffic impacts in the region, please visit the WSDOT Southwest Region Weekly Travel Advisory Web page at: http://www.wsdot.wa.gov/regions/southwest/construction/.
