The wreckage of a missing Cessna 210 aircraft was located today around 2 p.m. near Quilcene, WA. Two people were on board the aircraft, which left yesterday from Lopez Island and was headed to California. Family members in California reported the pilot and passenger missing, thus igniting the search effort early this morning.

Searchers from the King County Sheriff’s Office and Washington State Department of Transportation spotted the wreckage while combing the area in the King County helicopter. Teams used radar information to pinpoint the area near Quilcene as the focus of the search.
