SHINE - Inspection work on the State Route 104 Hood Canal Bridge may create delays for motorists traveling between Kitsap and Jefferson counties the first week of April.
Work hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 2-5. Traffic will be reduced to single-lane alternating with flaggers, and motorists may experience delays.
This annual inspection work, which requires the use of a under bridge inspection truck (UBIT), is not weather dependent.
Motorists are encouraged to consider the temporary traffic restrictions when making travel plans. Average weekday traffic across the Hood Canal Bridge is approximately 15,000 vehicles.
