KIRKLAND – Next week crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will demolish portions of the HOV ramps north of the NE 128th Street bridge, reconstruct the median, install new drains, and move barriers near NE 116th Street. Construction closures affecting I-405 traffic in Kirkland the week of March 16 – 23 include:
I-405 Mainline
- Sunday through Thursday nights, drivers should expect closures of up to two southbound lanes near NE 116th Street to reconstruct the median and conduct drainage work. Crews will close the first lane at 7 p.m. and a second lane at 9 p.m. each night. All lanes will re-open by 5 a.m. each following morning.
- Monday through Thursday nights, drivers should expect closures of up to two northbound lanes near NE 116th Street to reconstruct the median and conduct drainage work. Crews will close the first lane at 9 p.m. and a second lane at 10 p.m. All lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. each following morning.
- NEW - Expect daily closures of the northbound and southbound HOV lanes except during rush hours while crews demolish portions of the new HOV ramps north of the NE 128th Street bridge.
