WSDOT Names Jack Burkman Southwest Region Planning Manager

VANCOUVER – The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is pleased to announce Jack Burkman as the Southwest Region Planning Manager. Burkman began in his new position January 16.

Burkman has over twenty five years of experience with Hewlett Packard, first as an engineer, and later, as a manager and an executive. He has served on the C-TRAN Board of Directors, the Vancouver City Council, the Vancouver Planning Oversight Committee, the Clark County Planning Commission, and numerous other councils and committees in the community.

The Southwest Region Planning Office conducts planning studies in partnership with a variety of local jurisdictions and stakeholders, including the general public. It also defines and prioritizes future transportation improvement projects in the region. Over the past two years, the Southwest Region Program Manager had been managing both the Planning and Program Management Offices.
