Good To Go! makes it convenient and easy to electronically pay tolls in Washington
Good To Go! is your choice for a faster, easier commute across the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge, the SR 167 HOT lanes pilot project, plus any future toll road projects in Washington. The Good To Go! system uses state-of-the-art electronic toll collection technology that is already used on toll roads and bridges throughout the world. The technology is easy to get, simple to use, secure and reliable.
Here's how it works:
Watch our animation and learn how to use Good To Go! on the new Tacoma Narrows Bridge. Good To Go! is the smarter, faster way to commute.
Good To Go! - If you are a Good To Go! customer, stay in the Good To Go! express lanes
and drive through the toll zone without stopping. The overhead antenna
reads your Good To Go! account information and automatically debits the correct toll from your prepaid account. Violators who use the express lanes without paying will be fined - a camera
takes a picture of the license plate and a toll infraction is mailed.
Cash Customer - If you decide to pay your tolls with cash, you must use the "Cash Only" lanes
and stop at the toll plaza. Pay the toll to one of our friendly toll attendants with cash or a credit card
. When you see the green light
you may proceed.

Good To Go! - The SR 167 HOT Lane (high occupancy toll) pilot project opened on May 3, 2008. A HOT lane is a HOV (carpool) lane where solo drivers can also use the HOV lane by paying a toll. The current toll rate is displayed on an overhead sign before entering the HOT lanes. The toll rate may vary depending on the traffic volume in the lane. As the HOT lane gets more crowded, the price will go up, fewer cars will enter, and speeds will increase. When there’s little traffic in the HOT lane, the price will drop.
Electronic readers along the route link to the Good To Go! transponder and automatically deduct the toll amount. There are no toll booths; solo drivers without an transponder or who choose not to pay the toll can drive in the general purpose lanes free of charge.
Carpools, vanpools, buses and motorcycles may continue to use the SR 167 HOT lanes toll-free. Good To Go! customers who carpool on the SR 167 HOT Lanes will need to shield the transponder. Transponder shields are available by contacting customer service.
