Detour Directions from I-5 to Anacortes
I-5 is closed over the Skagit River in Burlington and Mount Vernon. Here are alternate routes to get you from the I-5 corridor to the Anacortes ferry terminal:
From the south take exit 226 from I-5 and follow signs west to SR 536/East Kincaid Street. Continue on SR 536 to SR 20. Turn left at the 536/SR 20 intersection to SR 20. Continue to Commercial Ave., turn left onto 12th St., which becomes Oakes Ave., and continue to the ferry terminal.
From the north take exit 230 from I-5 to the terminal. This route is not affected but drivers should expect increased traffic on SR 20. Turn right onto State Route 20 and continue to Anacortes. Continue onto Commercial Ave., turn left on 12th St., which becomes Oakes Ave., and continue to the ferry terminal.

Ana/SJIs: Update - Yakima Back on Schedule with the 7:45 pm FH-Lopez-Ana
The Yakima is back on schedule after earlier delays due to heavy vehicle traffic with the 7:45 pm Friday Harbor to Lopez and Anacortes sailing.

PT/CV: 5/26 Tide Cancellations - PT 8:00am and 9:30am - CV 8:45am and 10:15 am
Low tides will cancel one or more sailings from Port Townsend and Coupeville in May. Please see our Tide Cancellations table for a complete list of affected dates and departures.On Sunday May 26, the 8:00 am and 9:30 am sailings from Port Townsend and the 8:45 am and 10:15 am sailings from Coupeville have been cancelled due to tidal conditions.

PT/CV: Update - Reservation Status 5/25
For Saturday, May 25, advance reservations from Port Townsend are only available on the 10:00 pm sailing, and are only available from Coupeville on the 10:40 pm sailing. Customers without reservations are loaded on a first-come, first-served basis, with a 45 minute advance arrival advised. Walk on space is available on all sailings. Alternate routes are Edmonds/Kingston and Mukilteo/Clinton.

Vashon Low Tides For May 23 - 29
Vashon Island will be experiencing low tides from May 23 through May 29 between 9:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Vehicles with less than 14 inches of clearance from the ground to the undercarriage of the vehicle should not travel during these times. Check web site for your day of travel. Vashon Low Tides
Vehicle ramps at Fauntleroy and both ends of Vashon Island, are shorter in length than other terminals. At low tides these ramps create a steep slope and the hinge at the top causes an extreme angle for trucks or RVs with a low clearance. Waiting for a higher tide allows for this angle to lessen at the bridge seat (top). This allows for safer clearances for vehicles with low clearances and keeps them from scraping or hanging up at these locations.

PD/Tah - ADA Alert - Elevator on Chetzemoka is Out of Service.
There is no elevator service on the Chetzemoka at this time. The passenger cabin is accessible only via the stairway. Customers may choose to remain on the car deck during the crossing. Updates will occur as conditions change. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Ana/SJs - Memorial Day Weekend Service
Customers are advised to plan for heavy traffic and long wait times during the Memorial Day weekend. On Friday, May 24, WSF will provide an extra sailing from Anacortes to Orcas at 1:55 p.m. On Monday, May 27, WSF will provide an extra sailing from Anacortes to Orcas at 1:55 p.m. and from Orcas to Anacortes at 3:15 p.m. Also on Monday, the inter-island vessel will operate on a Sunday schedule – instead of a 2:20 p.m. round trip sailing from Friday Harbor, the inter-island vessel will make a 2:15 p.m. sailing from Friday Harbor to Lopez and Anacortes.

Reservation holders should plan to arrive 45 minutes in advance to ensure processing before boarding their reserved sailing. The Edmonds/Kingston route will be on its regular schedule on the Memorial Day holiday, Monday, May 27. Expect heavy traffic and long wait times westbound Thursday evening, Friday afternoon and evening, and Saturday morning, and eastbound on Sunday and Monday. Please consider traveling outside of peak times to avoid the longest waits. Please note that there will be very low tides at times during the weekend, and vehicles with less than 12 inches of ground clearance (trucks and trailers, RVs) may have up to four hours where they may not be able to cross. These time periods will surround the lowest tides, on Friday at 10:53 a.m., Saturday at 11:37 a.m., Sunday at 12:23 p.m., and Monday at 1:11 p.m.

Faunt/Va/SW: Fauntleroy North Tollbooth Reopened on May 9
The north Fauntleroy ferry entrance lane and tollbooth reopened on Thursday, May 9. With the opening of the north lane and tollbooth a uniformed police officer will no longer be on site. You can expect a flagger to continue moving traffic in and out of the ferry terminal entrance when necessary. Work will continue from 8:00am – 5:30pm Monday – Thursday.

Fauntleroy Terminal - No Left Hand Turns Allowed M-F 2:00pm-6:00pm
During the Barton Pump Station Upgrade project no left hand turns into the terminal will be allowed except for the Vanpool and Carpools between 2:00pm and 6:00pm Monday - Friday.

Faunt/Va/SW – Vehicle Queue Policies
Customers lining up at Fauntleroy should note that the ferry queue continues along Fauntleroy Way at the gas station at the north end of Lincoln Park; it does not go down 47th Ave. SW toward the beach. Please also note that line cutting is against state law and subject to a fine of up to $124. We ask that customers be respectful of others waiting in the queue. You can report line-cutters by calling 877-764-HERO. All violators are logged and receive a warning letter. Multiple violations result in further action.
