As part of the Western Association of Highways and Transportaion Officials (WASHTO) the Western Regional Permit enables commercial vehicle customers to purchase one permit for travel to 12 states. Each state has designated routes for use with this regional permit.
These
desiginated routes (pdf 2mb)are major highways including interstates to allow oversize moves from state to state with one permit.
The permit holder must comply with each individual state's rules and regulations, but you will only have to apply and carry one permit.
