2024 Olympic Peninsula Regionwide Chip Seal

Project overview

This project will extend the life of the highway and reduce the frequency of emergency repairs on sections of four state highways in Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, and Pierce counties.

Chip sealing is a process where crews apply a protective surface to existing pavement.

What to expect

The speed limit will be lowered in work zones. Travelers will experience some delays. Highways will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic.
