I-5 - SR 510 Interchange - Reconstruct Interchange
I-5 Region: Olympic County: Thurston Location: Milepost(s) 110 to 112.5

Description: Temporary yet major changes at the I-5/Marvin Road interchange in Lacey are underway through mid-June.

  • Southbound I-5 drivers exiting onto Marvin Road will not be able to turn left onto Marvin Road. Those drivers will follow a signed detour via Hogum Bay Road. 
  • Marvin Road drivers will also not be able to turn right onto Hogum Bay Road and will detour via northbound Marvin Road and Willamette Drive North.
  • The Marvin Road overpass is reduced to one through lane in each direction.
  • All users of this interchange are strongly encouraged to sign up to receive WSDOT email updates.

WSDOT needs help from drivers to keep traffic moving

  • Allow extra time to travel through the work zone or alternate routes.
  • Travel early in the morning or later in the evening.
  • Reschedule discretionary trips.


SR 507, N of Rainier to Jct 7 - Paving
Highway: SR 507 Region: Olympic  County: Thurston  Location: Milepost(s) 23.70 to 43.57

Description: Contractor crews will repave the roadway surface of SR 507 from Rainier in Thurston County to SR 7 near Spanaway in Pierce County. Daytime drivers can expect to see shifted lanes of traffic.
Work Schedule: Railroad repairs each day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 22-26. 



SR 510 - Meridian Rd SE - Roundabout and Paving
SR 510 Region: Olympic County: Thurston Location: Milepost(s) 6.9 to 7

Description: Crews will build a modern roundabout at the intersection of State Route 510 and Meridian Road Southeast. Drivers can expect short-term traffic stops and reduced speed limit of 35 mph during active construction. 
Work Schedule: 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. 


Highway: US 12 Region: Olympic County: Thurston/Grays Harbor Location: Milepost(s) 38.7 to 38.9

Description: Utility crews will relocate communication cables in preparation for a future WSDOT project along US 12 at Anderson Road. Drivers can expect one-way alternating traffic with flaggers and occasional shoulder closures.
Work Schedule: 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each weekday through Friday, April 26.
