On SR 28 in Quincy at 13th Avenue (MP 29), SR 28 roundabout construction detour will be pulled and the roundabout will be opened to traffic by Saturday (7/20). Monday through Friday, expect intermittent flagger controlled traffic where utility and other work will be occurring as well as temporary illumination at night. This is still an active construction zone.
SR 28 between Ephrata and Soap Lake (MP 44 to 53)- Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., expect delays up to 20 minutes with flaggers, lane shifts and alternating one-way traffic between Martin Road and the south end of Ephrata, and between the north end of Ephrata and Soap Lake where the contractor is chip sealing.
I-90 milepost 33 to 136 North Bend to Vantage: This week we have a number of construction and maintenance activities taking place between North Bend and Vantage during the day and at night which could cause delays due to lane closures. Please plan for added travel time and pay attention and slow down as you enter and exit our work zones.
US 97 south of Blewett Pass at Swauk Campground (MP 159), Monday and Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes near Swauk Campground as the contractor continues drilled shaft construction. Traffic in both directions has been shifted to detour lanes requiring a 12 ft. width restriction and a reduced speed of 50 mph through the work zone. These restrictions will remain in place during non-working hours through the duration of the project.
ON US2/97 east of the Odabashian Bridge-the Cascade Avenue exit is closed for construction of the 35th St. extension until July. There is a signed detour.
On SR 243 between Vernita and Vantage (MP 0 to 28), Monday and Thursday only, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. expect delays up to 30 min. with flaggers and pilot car controlled traffic where the contractor is chip sealing. Monday through Thursday nights from 7 p.m.to 5 a.m., expect mobile slow downs where the contractor will be brooming. Please do not pass brooming operations.
On US 97 beginning at the junction of SR 970 for 15 miles to Tronson Creek campground, Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., expect one lane, flagger controlled traffic with delays up to 20 minutes in the work zone where the contractor will be paving, starting at the Mineral Springs area working north toward the summit of Blewett Pass.
At US 97 Blewett Pass at milepost 159 in both directions near Swauk Creek campground, Thursday only expect flagger controlled traffic with delays of up to 20 minutes as the contractor pours concrete for the drilled shaft construction. Traffic in both directions has been shifted to detour lanes requiring a 12 ft. width restriction and a reduced speed of 50 mph through the work zone. These restrictions will remain in place during non-working hours. Bypass lane has narrow shoulders.
Eastbound & westbound traffic is alternating on SR 202 at SE 8th St (MP 17) due to maintenance.
Travelers heading east for the weekend will need to plan for added travel time on I-90 just east of North Bend to the summit due to lane closures. The WSDOT and contractor crews are replacing old sections of I-90 and pouring new concrete. Two of the EB lanes will be closed between the Denny Creek area and the summit in order to let the concrete cure. These lane closures will remain in effect 24 hours a day 7 days a week until Aug.
On US 2 near Peshastin (MP 103.5) Monday and Tuesday only, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., expect flagger controlled traffic with delays where a maintenance crew is repairing a shoulder wash out.
I-82 milepost 37 Union Gap:
Eastbound- Night Work – July 19 (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM): Right lane closure.
I-82 Westbound: Night Work – July 19 (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM): Right lane closure.
On I-90 in Moses Lake (milepost 175.5 to 176.1) Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., expect right lane closures and reduced speed zone of 55 mph through work zone where crews are repairing concrete on bridge slab edges. Speed limit returns to 70 mph during non-working hours, including weekends.
SR 410 milepost 102: Drivers can expect a single lane closure with flaggers Monday through Friday during daylight hours.
