Washington State Ferries

  • Colman Dock Terminal
    • Replacing seismically vulnerable portions of the terminal (state of good repair, safety)
    • Major construction began in August
    • Added a temporary passenger-only facility on the north side of Colman Dock
    • Began pile-driving on the south side to build a new passenger-only facility and the foundation for the part of the new terminal building
  • Mukilteo Ferry Terminal
    • Relocating the terminal one-third of a mile to the east; improves multimodal connections; builds a new passenger and maintenance building, transit center and four toll booths (state of good repair, demand management)
    • Preparing the site by removing old concrete walls and installing piles for the new trestle. Terminal is scheduled to open in 2019.
  • Suquamish - Fourth Olympic Class ferry (state of good repair)
    • Left drydock and floated for the first time this fall
    • Christened on January 4
    • WSF takes delivery July 2018, enters service in October
