US 395 - Safety Corridor Improvements

Project news

  • WSDOT plans to meet with stakeholders over the next several months for feedback regarding safety improvements.
  • Upcoming open houses and public events will be posted to this project page.

Overview

In 2015, the legislature provided funding for WSDOT to make safety improvements along US 395 between Pasco and Ritzville. Currently, WSDOT is surveying the corridor to collect data before going out to stakeholders and residents to discuss safety improvements.

The End Result

US 395 between Pasco and Ritzville is a critical freight corridor. This project plans to incorporate acceleration and deceleration lanes, improve existing left turn lanes and construct safety improvements between Pasco and Ritzville to reduce congestion and the risk of collisions.

Project Benefits

The $15 million Connecting Washington investment into the US 395 corridor will improve safety performance by reducing the risk of collisions and relieve congestion.
