Needs & Benefits

SR 240 in Richland is experiencing increased congestion at several existing intersections. This project will improve safety and operational effiiciency by adding acceleration and deceleration lanes, adding double-left turn lanes and upgrading traffic signals.

Fall 2018 - Design work begins
Spring 2020 - Construction begins
Fall 2020 - Scheduled completion

Funding

The 2015 Connecting Washington funding package provided $5 million to make important safety improvements along the SR 240 corridor in Richland.
