SEATTLE – People who walk, bike or roll through Seattle’s Montlake neighborhood will need to prepare for a five-year closure of the Bill Dawson Trail beginning Monday, May 12.
SR 510 near Lacey expected to remain closed for weeks
LACEY – State Route 510 near Lacey will remain closed around the clock for the foreseeable future. The closure is located at milepost 6 between Old Pacific Highway Southeast and Rockcress Drive Southeast.
I-5 fish passage project construction begins Wednesday, April 30, south of Bellingham
BELLINGHAM – A three-year project to remove 17 barriers to fish migration along a 6-mile stretch of Interstate 5 in Skagit and Whatcom Counties will begin construction Wednesday, April 30.
WSDOT Aviation accepting airport grant applications
OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Transportation Aviation Division is currently accepting applications for the first round of the 2025-2027 Airport Aid Grant Program. WSDOT anticipates awarding approximately $1.4 million in funding.
103-year-old SR 165 Carbon River/Fairfax Bridge permanently closed
CARBONADO – The State Route 165 Carbon River/Fairfax Bridge is permanently closed south of Carbonado in Pierce County due to deterioration of steel supports across the bridge. A planning study is underway to evaluate next steps to address the bridge condition.
Portion of Steilacoom-DuPont Road to close first weekend in May for roundabout construction
DUPONT – A busy section of Steilacoom-DuPont Road near Barksdale Station in DuPont will be unavailable to travelers for a weekend in early May. The closure allows crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation to connect a new roundabout to Steilacoom-DuPont Road.
SR 302 fish barrier removal work begins April 28 in Mason County near Victor
VICTOR – Work to replace two undersized culverts that carry Victor Creek under State Route 302 in Mason County will start Monday, April 28, and travelers should prepare for delays.
