Blocking Incidents
  • On SR 20 eastbound & westbound just east of Main St (MP 121) there is an obstruction blocking all lanes. The Incident Response Team has arrived on the scene.
  • The I-5 express lanes from Northgate (MP 172) to I-90 (MP165) are closed.

  • SR 20, the North Cascades Highway, is closed for the season in both directions between milepost 134, approximately 12 miles east of Newhalem and milepost 177 at Early Winters.
  • There is an emergency closure of US2 northeast of Wenatchee from MP 142 to MP 144, just west of Waterville due to a rock slide in Pine Canyon. There is no detour available and motorists are encouraged to take an alternate route. This will be an extended closure and there is currently no estimated date for reopening.
  • US 2 Stevens Pass will close on Monday, March 1st at 9:00 a.m. for extended avalanche control work. The highway will be closed in both directions from milepost 58 at Scenic to milepost 80, approximately 19 miles west of Leavenworth. There is no estimated time for reopening but WSDOT will provide an update at 1:00 p.m. following an evaluation of the amount of snow and debris that may need to be cleared from the highway. An extended closure may become necessary.
  • On US 2 at milepost 58 (east of Skykomish), the Iron Goat safety rest area is closed for the season as of Nov. 5, 2020.
Construction Closures
  • Friday, Feb. 26, to the morning of Monday, March 1 – The westbound SR 520 floating bridge, between 92nd Avenue and Montlake, will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
  • Friday, Feb. 26, to the morning of Monday, March 1 – The westbound SR 520 floating bridge, between 92nd Avenue and Montlake, will close from 11 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Sunday. One lane will reopen at 7 a.m. Sunday and all lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday.
  • Monday, Feb. 22, to the morning of Saturday, March 13 - The right lane of eastbound SR 520 between 148th Avenue and 40th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • Monday, Feb. 22, to the morning of Saturday, March 13 - The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to 40th Street will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily.
  • Monday, Feb. 22, to the afternoon of Friday, March 5 – The westbound SR 520 off-ramp to Northeast 40th Street will close from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily on weekdays.
  • Monday, Feb. 22, to the morning of Saturday, March 13 - The eastbound SR 520 off-ramp to 148th will close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.
  • On US 2 at milepost 172 (Moses Coulee near Jameson Lake Rd.), Monday only from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., expect flagger-controlled traffic with delays where the crew is working.
  • Sunday, Feb. 28, to the morning of Monday, March 1 – The 6th Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 will close from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Parking is prohibited on the shoulder of SR 542, vehicles will be towed.
Special Events
  • Friday, Feb. 26, to the morning of Monday, March 1 – The I-5 express lanes will be closed over the weekend from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
  • Flammable cargo is prohibited on SR 520 eastbound & westbound from Montlake Blvd (MP 1) to 84th Ave NE (MP 5).
