Oct. 19 - 22: SR 99 will be closed for a viaduct inspection. Southbound is closed Friday 9 p.m. - Mon 5 a.m. Northbound is closed Saturday 6 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closures extend from the north end of the Battery Street Tunnel to South Spokane Street.

Oct. 15Watch for a work zone on the shoulder of SR 99 southbound just south of the S. Atlantic St exit. This will give crews a safe work zone to pour and let cure concrete to fix a dip in the highway. The repair should be complete this fall. SR 99 southbound will remain two lanes past the work zone.

North of Denny Way

  • Street restoration work has begun on the closed block of Sixth Avenue North between Harrison and Thomas streets. This new phase of work is part of the SR 99 Connections Project. The street remains closed.

Downtown waterfront

  • No closures related to AWV Program work at this time.

South of Yesler Way

  • Long-term closure: The east lane of East Frontage Road, and the adjacent sidewalk, is closed for construction, between South Atlantic Street and Royal Brougham Way.
  • Long-term closure: The south side of South Royal Brougham Way, between First Avenue South and East Frontage Road South, is closed for construction. The south sidewalk, and the parking lot driveway to the parking lot west of Pyramid Brewing, are also closed.
