Intersections in the Deer Park area experience a higher than average number of "entering at angle" collisions. These are crashes where drivers enter the roadway into the path of oncoming vehicles. This project entails construction of single lane roundabouts at the Short/Main and Monroe/Crawford intersections in Deer Park, WA. Turning modifications will be built at the Burroughs/Dalton intersection. Roundabouts should reduce the frequency and severity of "entering at angle" collisions at these locations.
More information can be found on the US 395 - Deer Park Intersection Improvement Study page.
All project work was substantially complete on Oct. 16, 2018.
