Project Info

US 101 - Sol Duc River Bridge - Bridge Painting - Complete October 2017

This project cleaned and painted two steel bridges over the Sol Duc River, protecting them from rust and corrosion.

The Sol Duc River bridges were last painted in the 1990's.

In addition to giving the bridges a facelift, painting work helps preserve and protect bridges from the elements for about 20 years.

This project was completed in fall 2017.

How you benefit

Protects environment
Paint, rust and other debris were contained during construction to protect the environment.

Economic incentive
Maintained properly, the bridges will continue to keep up with the traffic demand for years to come. Maintaining these bridges is more cost-efficient than replacing them.
