  • Saturday, Oct. 20, through the morning of Sunday, Oct. 21 - Crews will close one lane of SR 539/Guide Meridian Road between Badger Road and H Street between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m. for striping work. Flaggers and a pilot car will alternate traffic through this stretch south of the border. Work hours could shift based on weather and air temperature. This work is weather dependent. 
 

Glacier Area: Hedrick Creek Fish Passage - #9042

Description: WSDOT contractor crews are removing an old narrow culvert and replacing it with a new bridge on SR 542 near Glacier.

  • Friday, Oct. 19 - Crews will work on the Hedrick Creek fish passage project at milepost 32 on SR 542 until  6 p.m. Crews could close one lane of Mount Baker Highway during this work and have flaggers alternate traffic through the open lane.
  • Monday, Oct. 22, through Friday, Oct. 26 - Crews will work on the Hedrick Creek fish passage project at milepost 32 on SR 542 daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Crews could close one lane of Mount Baker Highway during this work and have flaggers alternate traffic through the open lane.

Everson Area: Puget Sound Energy Utility Work

Description: Puget Sound Energy crews are performing utility work along SR 544 in Everson.
Work schedule:

  • Until further notice - Puget Sound Energy crews will close one lane of SR 544 from SR 539/Guide Meridian Road to Hannegan Road daily, including weekends, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and brief holds to traffic in all directions could happen between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Travelers should also expect occasional tree trimming work, lane closures and traffic holds east of Hannegan during working hours.

 

Ferndale Area: SR 548/Grandview & Kickerville Road Intersection Improvements - #9218

Description: WSDOT contractor crews from Tiger Construction will build a roundabout at the intersection of SR 548 and Grandview/Kickerville Roads to improve safety. This intersection is currently a 4-way-stop and will remain that way until the roundabout project begins.

  • Tuesday, Oct. 23, and Wednesday, Oct. 24 - Crews will close one lane of SR 548 at Kickerville Road daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. to do electrical and concrete work around the new roundabout. Flaggers will assist travelers through the intersection.

Lake McMurray Area: Utility Work

Work schedule:

  • Through Wednesday, Dec. 12 - Frontier crews could close a lane daily Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. as they install new lines between Legges Road and SR 534. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the open lane.

 

Big Lake to Sedro-Woolley Area: Northwest Washington Resurfacing - #9193

  • Monday, Oct. 22, and Tuesday, Oct. 23 - Crews will close one lane of SR 9, in short stretches, between Big Lake and Sedro-Woolley from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to install raised pavement markings on the newly preserved highway. Flaggers and a pilot car will alternate traffic through the open lane. Travelers should expect some delays.

 

Clear Lake Area: Francis Road Intersection Improvements - #9219

  • Through Friday, Oct. 19 - Crews will close one lane of SR 11 at Pulver Road daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will alternate traffic through the intersection.
  • Monday, Oct. 22 - Utility crews will do work on SR 20 near Avon Allen Road between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Travelers in both directions could experience a lane shift and brief slowdowns during this work.

  • Monday, Oct. 24, and Tuesday, Oct. 25 - WSDOT crews will sweep the eastbound and westbound lanes of SR 525 from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. between Bob Galbreath Road in Clinton and Scott Road in Freeland. Travelers should plan for brief delays behind this moving operation.
