Adams

I-90 - SR 21 to Rtizville - Paving (MP 208.16 to MP 218.60)
Highway: 
I-90 Region: Eastern County: Adams Location: MP 208.16 to 218.60
Description: Restores 9.9 miles of the existing asphalt pavement by grinding and place 0.15 foot depth of asphalt on the driving lanes and shoulders. A reduced speed limit of 60 mph will be implemented during construction and enforced day and night. until completion in June.

  • Work Schedule: Contract work schedule has been revised to April 15 due to remaining snow and mud. Paha-Packard Interchange will be closed during daylight hours April 15-17. Expect single lane closures and short term, intermittent ramp closures.

Ferry

Keller Ferry Terminal and Pontoon Replacement North and South (MP 106.65 to 106.67)

Description: Construction to take place at the north and south Keller Ferry Terminals. Work will include replacing pontoons, decking, railing, and anchors.

SR 21 - Curlew to Canada Flood Repair (MP 185.00 to

Description: Slope and shoulder reconstruction, asphalt paving and guardrail replacement

  • Work Schedule: Hot mix asphalt was rejected last fall due to smoothness requirements. The contractor has developed a repair plan with paving scheduled to begin May 6. Single lane closures will be implemented for repair work.

Lincoln

US 2 - Reardan to Espanola Rd. - Paving (MP 263.45 to 271.02)

Description: Restores 7.6 miles of existing asphalt pavement by grinding and placing 0.15 foot depth of asphalt on the driving lanes.

  • Work Schedule: Contract work scheduled to begin mid-April. Work within Reardan city limits is scheduled between April 22 to May 24. Impacts within city limits will include flagged lane closures and temporary intersection closures accessing US 2 to and from city limits. Work between Reardan and Espanola Rd. is scheduled May 13 to June 13. Impacts outside of Reardan will include flagged single lane, two-way traffic lanes, and pilot-car directed lane closures.

Pend Oreille

SR 41/BNSF-POVRR Railroad Bridge (MP 38)
Highway: SR 41 Region: Eastern County: Pend Oreille Location: MP 38
Description: Replace the bridge over the railroad tracks just south of Newport, Washington, and Oldtown, Idaho. This bridge is jointly owned by the Idaho Transportation Department and WSDOT. This is an Idaho Transportation Department project.

  • Work Schedule: The bridge is reduced to one lane with temporary signalization until mid-November, when the project is planned to enter winter shutdown. During the winter, the bridge will reopen to two lanes without signalization; southbound traffic will be routed over the new bridge structure on the west side, and northbound traffic will remain on the east half of the old bridge structure. Construction will begin again in March, with the new bridge planned for completion in September 2019.

Spokane

Description: Planing , pavement repair, paving, bridge deck repair, safety improvements

  • Work Schedule: Work will continue on access hatches. Paint striping was completed March 21. WB I-90 ramp will close April 1 as hydro milling is anticipated to begin.

Description: Construct mainline NSC from Freya to Columbia. Contaminated material has been excavated on the north end of the project and samples are being tested. Minor drainage work. Winter shutdown will include erosion control measures throughout the project as needed.
