2007 CTR Board Interim Report

This interim report provides updates on the CTR Efficiency Act, CTR Program Results, Transportation Demand Management – Strategies for Schools Study, development of the Growth and Transportation Efficiency Center program, implementation of CTR Efficiency Act, the Vanpool Investment Program, the Trip Reduction Performance Program, Climate Change, and Construction Mitigation as it relates to CTR. A full legislative report on these topics is scheduled for January 2009.

  • Commute Trip Reduction (CTR) (pdf 2 mb) - Approximately 570,000 employees commuted to CTR worksites on a daily basis.
  • Growth and Transportation Efficiency Centers (GTEC) (pdf 504 kb) - The GTEC program provides greater access to employment and residential centers while decreasing single-occupant vehicles iduring peak periods on the state highway system.
  • Vanpool Investment Program (pdf 2 mb) - Vanpooling in Washington in 2006 resulted in over 6.7 million passenger trips.
  • 2005-2007 Trip Reduction Performance Program (TRPP) (pdf 172 kb) - TRPP funds were awarded on a competitive basis to private employers, public agencies, nonprofit organizations and others for trip-reduction programs.
  • Climate Change (pdf 185 kb) - WSDOT’s Climate Change Team developed a means to measure changes in the agency’s carbon footprint
  • Construction Mitigation (pdf 2 mb) - The program has two primary goals are:
    1) Maintaining the efficiency of the system during construction
    2) Giving projects flexibility in how and when construction occurs which saves time and money
