Interstate 405 Wilburton Tunnel teardown
Driver Alert: It's crunch time! WSDOT crews are gearing up to tear down the Wilburton Tunnel in the south Bellevue area of I-405. That means southbound I-405 will be closed for three weekends
in August. As part of the I-405 Corridor Program , WSDOT is widening I-405 between 112th Street S.E. and S.E. 8th Street. The tunnel must come down in order to make room for more travel lanes.
