To schedule a drawspan opening, please call 206‑440‑4490.
Boaters with vessels taller than 45 feet must give at least two hours notice if they wish to pass through the SR 520 floating bridge drawspan, seven days a week.

The drawspan will not open weekdays from 6:30 a.m., to 9:59 a.m., and 3 p.m., to 7 p.m., with the exception of federal holidays excluding Columbus Day.

The drawspan will only open on the hour or half-hour between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. seven days a week.

During the weekend - July 19 to July 20:

  • Please give at least 24 hours advance notice if requesting a drawspan opening between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
  • We ask that if at all possible any vessel taller than 58 feet that must transit the drawspan do so before 6:30 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
  • There will be a special opening of the east navigation channel beneath SR 520 to help reduce the number of drawspan openings for marine traffic.
  • The channel can accommodate boats up to 58 feet tall.

Weekdays - July 21 to Friday, July 25:

  • Boaters who require a drawspan opening between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. should give at least 24 hours advance notice.
  • Again, we ask that vessels that must transit the drawspan do so before 6:30 a.m. or after 7 p.m.
  • The east navigational channel will close to marine traffic at 6 a.m. on Monday, July 21.
The west navigational channel will remain open with a clearance of 45 feet.
