Rural Economic Vitality Program

Program Description:
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) and the Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) will partner to implement the Rural Economic Vitality (REV) program. The program will provide funds for transportation capital investments that benefit economic development in rural areas. Eligible projects include traditional transportation improvements on state highways, county roads, and city streets.
This program is contingent on the outcome of a statewide referendum in November regarding statewide transportation revenues.

Eligible Agencies:
Cities with population under 10,000, counties, ports, transit, and tribal governments.

Potential Funding:
$2 million.

Schedule:
There will not be a traditional Call for Projects. Potential applicants need to work with the Office of Trade & Economic Development (OTED) and WSDOT staff on developing projects with communities that may be eligible to participate.
