Overview
US 2/Division Street north of Francis Avenue was resurfaced new layer of hot mix asphalt will preserve the underlying roadway structure and provide a smooth driving surface. The work was handled by CPM/Inland Asphalt Company of Spokane with a construction bid of $1,777,500.

Overview
This project installed upgraded guardrail segments on US 2 and Interstate 90 in west Spokane. Upgraded guardrail segments replaced older rail with material that meets newer standards.

Overview
This project improved the Wellesley/Freya intersection prior to the construction of the North Spokane Corridor Freeway by building a roundabout.
How you benefit
Relieves congestion
When the Wellesley Avenue Interchange on the NSC freeway is completed, this intersection will have more traffic. the roundabout will move traffic more efficiently.
Partnerships & cooperation
The City of Spokane oversaw a sewer and water system project prior to the roundabout construction.

Overview
This project included upgrading the existing traffic signal system and revising the lane configurations to allow for an eight phase operation of the traffic signal increases efficiency through the intersection. Dedicated left turn lanes were added each direction on Hawthorne Rd as well as a dedicated right turn lane on the east leg.

Overview
Chip sealing preserves the integrity and life of deteriorating roadway by applying a Bituminous Surface Treatment (BST) seal coat of oil and gravel (chips) to the existing pavement. Restoration is necessary before the underlying road structure is damaged, requiring a much more expensive rebuild.

Overview
The new off ramp routes traffic onto existing Second Avenue several blocks prior to Freya. Drivers are able to select the proper lane to continue west on Second or turn north on Freya well ahead of the signal. The signal now only requires two phases.
