I-5 Corridor Improvements

  • Snohomish County
    Repaved 7 miles of northbound lanes near Marysville; work on southbound lanes continues in 2018
  • King County - #ReviveI5
    Repaved 20 southbound lane miles (5 miles of 4-lane highway), replaced 400 concrete panels; replaced expansion joints near Tukwila; work continues in 2018
  • Pierce County - HOV program
    Opened three new northbound bridges (over Puyallup River, eastbound SR 16, and over I-705 and 26th Street); realigned and opened ramps at SR 7, I-705, 26th Street, A Street and SR 167
  • Pierce County - JBLM
    Extended an auxiliary lane between Mounts Road and Center Drive near DuPont
  • Lewis County - Chamber Way
    Accelerated planned construction of a wider, taller bridge over I-5 in Chehalis; began construction of a bypass bridge next to the existing structure; new bridge expected to open in fall 2018
  • Clark County - North Fork Lewis River Bridge near Woodland
    Replaced expansion joints and resurfaced the southbound bridge deck
