• Weekly Construction Update•
Awarded to Granite Northwest Inc. of Yakima with a construction bid of $4,149,158.•
This project resurfaces the southbound lanes of US 395 with additional paving in the I-90/US 395 Interchange area at Ritzville.
Why is WSDOT
resurfacing southbound US 395?
The current southbound asphalt road surface is deteriorating. Repaving now, preserves the existing pavement structure and extends pavement service life.
The End Result
A smoother driving surface and extended roadway life. This will be achieved by overlaying the existing pavement with 2 inches of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA).
• Preserve the pavement for the next 10 to 15 years.
• Provides a smoother driving surface.
