US 2 - One Mile East of Index - Slide Repair - Complete August 2009

Overview
Record rainfall closed a portion of US 2 east of Index in November 2007, causing the road to sink more than seven feet.  We temporarily repaired the highway in 2007. In 2008 we build a wall to permanently stabilize the roadway. We also added a drainage culvert to increase capacity, repaved the road and returned the road to its orginial configuration.
