Overview
We upgraded stormwater run off outfalls on US 2 through Sultan to current standards to reduce erosion and improve water quality.

A stormwater run off outfall is the location where stormwater coming from a roadway drains onto land.
We upgraded these run off outfalls to prevent harmful chemicals and metals from reaching groundwater, creek and rivers, and private property.
The upgraded run off outfalls also reduce erosion caused by high volumes of water coming off US 2 during storms.
