US 195 - SR 271 Junction to Cornwall Rd - Centerline Rumble Strips

  • A separate contract for rumble strips on US 195 from colton to Dry Creek Road was already completed. 
  • This job also includes rumble strips on the full length of SR 902 and on US 395 from Loon Lake to Colville.

Add centerline rumble strips on a 36-mile section of US 195 in Whitman and Spokane Counties, a 12-mile section of SR 902 near Medical Lake, and 38 miles of US 395 in Stevens County.

Why is WSDOT installing rumble strips?
Centerline rumble strips are a proven low-cost method of dramatically reducing cross-over collisions by alerting inattentive drivers when they are crossing into oncoming traffic.

A safer section of US 195.
