US 101 - Mud Bay Bridges Special Repair - Complete September 2008

To preserve the US 101 Mud Bay Bridges, crews wrapped the concrete columns in fiberglass jackets.

Overview
This project rehabilitated the concrete support columns at piers 4, 5 and 6 of the US 101 Mud Bay Bridges near Olympia.

The concrete support columns on piers 4, 5 and 6 were cracked and spalled. Crews installed fiberglass jackets around each column to extend the service life of the bridges.

Work started in June 2008 and was completed in September 2008.
