new sections of sidewalk
New sections of sidewalk were installed in many areas, along SR 99, including south of Gibson Road.

Overview
We installed a traffic signal at the intersection of SR 99 and Gibson Road in South Everett, and we filled in missing links in the sidewalk system along southbound SR 99 between Lincoln Way and Airport Road. The existing sidewalk was upgraded as well.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
The SR 99/Gibson Road intersection was the site of 25 collisions between 2006 and 2010. The new traffic signal controls traffic and reduces the risk and severity of collisions. The sidewalk improvements provide safer and easier access for pedestrians along the busy highway.
Car GlyphRelieves Congestion
The signal at SR 99 and Gibson Road improves traffic flow, allowing drivers to reach their destinations more easily and quickly.

Partnerships & Cooperation
We worked with local jurisdictions to coordinate lane closures and other work involved in the project.
