Overview
The existing 8.1 miles of pavement on SR 903, from the west edge of Cle Elum to the National Forest Boundary, showed signs of fatigue and was due for rehabilitation. This project resurfaced the existing pavement, and restored signing, striping, and provided other minor safety improvements.
 | Improves Safety
Paving this stretch of SR 903 provided a smoother, safer roadway for local traffic and tourists.
|
 | Economic Incentive
Pavement rehabilitation extended the service life of the existing pavement, at a considerable cost savings to the taxpayer as compared to the construction of new roadway.
