SR 903 - Cle Elum to National Forest Boundary - Paving - Complete August 2007

Overview
The existing 8.1 miles of pavement on SR 903, from the west edge of Cle Elum to the National Forest Boundary, showed signs of fatigue and was due for rehabilitation. This project resurfaced the existing pavement, and restored signing, striping, and provided other minor safety improvements.

Pavement rehabilitation extended the service life of the existing pavement, at a considerable cost savings to the taxpayer as compared to the construction of new roadway.

Partnerships & Cooperation
WSDOT partnered with the City of Cle Elum, South Cle Elum, and Roslyn to include improvements on various local streets as part of this contract. This coordination resulted in fewer impacts to traffic and reduced overall costs.
