SR 9 - 108th Street NE (Lauck Road) - Complete January 2008

Overview
We constructed new right- and left-turn lanes, improved signing and installed new lighting at the intersection of State Route 9 and 108th Street NE (Lauck Road) north of Marysville.

How You Benefit
Cross GlyphImproves Safety
New turn lanes will decrease the potential for rear-end and sideswipe collisions between turning vehicles and vehicles that are moving through the intersection. Updated lighting will also improve safety by enhancing visibility for drivers.
Car GlyphRelieves Congestion
New right- and left-turn lanes will reduce back-ups that can otherwise form behind stopped vehicles waiting to turn against through traffic. These new lanes will reduce congestion along this stretch of SR 9.

Partnerships & Cooperation
At WSDOT we seek to address the concerns of the tribal nations using the process outlined in Section 106 of The National Historic Preservation Act and the WSDOT Tribal Consultation Policy adopted in 2003 by the Transportation Commission as part of the WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan.

To learn more about the tribal consultation process please visit WSDOT's Tribal Liaison page, where you'll find links to WSDOT Centennial Accord Plan and WSDOT's Tribal Consultation Policy (Adopted by the Transportation Commission on February 19, 2003).
