Overview
We replaced the temporary culvert under Mount Baker Highway as mitigation for the emergency repairs we made to the highway in January 2009 when a mudslide buried the highway with mud and debris. We installed the culvert during the emergency work as a temporary fix for drainage so that we could get the highway reopened quickly.
 | Protects Environment
Removing the temporary culvert and replacing it with a fish-passable culvert is a dramatic improvement for the environment, especially fish.
